Description
One of the things which I love to do in Paris is urban sketching, drawing in the streets and cafes. The streets of Paris offer unrivalled opportunities to capture incredible architecture in
historical and comfortable surroundings. Adults and children are welcome.
For people who want to join us, there is no pressure to create anything in particular. Just take part. I'll do a few demonstrations and anyone who wants to focus on more serious drawing techniques can stick close by. The main thing is to go out and do it. People feel more comfortable doing this in a group so that's what we will have.
Children will need: An adult, something to draw on & with. A hat, dark glasses, a bottle of water and maybe a folding seat.
About Tom J. Byrne
Painting is and has been the over riding motivation in my life. To create and explore using the medium of paint and sometimes sculpture, are my main drives. We experience the world through light, colour and form. The mysterious element of reflected light passing through our eyes, to our brain, transforming our understanding of the world. Other senses are effected in the same way and most people take these things for granted. As an artist I pause to study these things and the way that they interact with me, others, nature and energy. I express the impressions I receive in paint and sculpture so that others might also pause to understand what has passed and is.
