Description
TV screen, computer screen, smart phone screen, tablet screen. Is the screen only a screen or is it having more influence on us than we realise?
I am a psychomotor therapist working with the international school population in Paris for over 20 years. You might wonder what a psychomotor therapist knows about high-technology. Nothing, well at least, not very much. But I am seeing the secondary effects on children who are obliged at school to use the virtual environment more and more. And of course keep track of reports highlighting similar issues for adults in the workplace.
The various psychological, (difficulty in expressing themselves, passivity) academic (short attention span, poor forward planning skills), physiological (poor posture), psychomotor symptoms and relational consequences (peers and parent communication) are just a few.
Join me for a presentation from a different viewpoint, exploring how the virtual environment is affecting the young visual generation of today from children to young adults.
